The Custom Design Process

At Closet Solutions we customize everything. We offer a wide range of products with a high level of creativity. We base our designs on the customers wants and needs. Before we start designing we need an estimate on your inventory, and the dimensions of the closet or room. You'll then meet with our team of professionals at your home to discuss your vision and goals of the new build. Our team will create an extensive plan that you will be able to review. At this point you will approve the plans with a down payment and we will add the project to our installers schedule. Our team will then be able to setup an appointment to begin the project.

FAQ's

Q: How long does the installation take?

A: We pre-fab the parts in our shop - minimize the time spent in your home. A 6 foot closet system takes approximately 2 hours to install. Big projects might take 2 days. Lead time might be 1-3 weeks or more...depending.

Q: References available?

A: Yes. Thousands of closets installed in the last 30 years. If you want references we will have plenty. You can refer to the Better Business Bureau website. We have had zero complaints filed with them since 1987.

Q: What areas do you service?

A: Family owned with one location. We service Boston metro and close outlying areas.

Q: Are credit cards acceptable?

A: We accept Visa, Master Card, checks and cash. Checks are preferred.

Q: Do you make 'real wood' closets?

A: No. Some are MDF 'ready to paint' closet systems. Prefinished wood veneers, thermo-foil, and melamine are all available. Wood products are better than solid wood in many ways.

Q: Can you design the closet before the walls are built?

A: Yes, pre-construction services enable you to plan well in advance of actual wall construction if you are remodeling or building new. We just need approximate dimensions and can adjust the plans later with actual verified site conditions.

I thought I had made a mistake in hiring your company

I hired your company to re-do my closet while I was away at the Cape for the summer. Imagine my surprise when upon returning I went to put my clothes away only to find that there was not enough space for my jackets. I thought I had made a mistake in hiring your company but your office manager said someone would come and look at the situation and not to worry. Well, I did worry a bit until Steve came and reminded me of where we had planned to put a few things. After some rearranging everything was fine and I'm totally enjoying my new found space. vI appreciate that I was not forgotten or ignored when I needed some help after the fact. I’ll be reminding my sister to call you for closets when her new house is a little further along. Good Luck.

Their price sent shock waves through my body

The price I got from your competitor sent shock waves through my entire body. When I found you guys I got basically the same exact thing at a price that we could actually afford. In the end I got the cabinets done the way I wanted without being made of money and that’s what I’ve been telling the other people in my building...when they need a carpenter they should call you. You did an awesome job.

Forget the diamond-give me good closets

To me the closet makeover was a high priority even though I did have to work through a few guilty twinges. I’m glad I took a stand on the issue. I had been thinking of re-doing the closet since we bought the place two years ago. When I finally brought it up my husband said he’d rather buy golf clubs than do the closets - if it was all right with me. It certainly wasn't. Waiting longer seemed unfair to me and besides, he hardly needs new clubs – the ones he has are fine. I decided to push for what I needed. It's the only way to get what I want.

What I’ve learned since doing the closet makeover (he gave in) is what I suspected all along; our closet had a lot of space, but most of it was wasted. Your designer was able to make that space work for me. My sweater piles were always tipping over but now that issue is solved. What I like the most is now there's a place for my shoes as I am a runner and keep a lot of pairs that were formerly always in a jumble. I also like the valet rod which I use every night to hang my outfit for the next day. I always hated getting up early and searching for things to wear so the valet rod is a big help.

And I have already told my girlfriend to call you as she was asking if anything could be done with her closet. I told her ‘Yes, Closet Solutions can do it’ after now seeing how much better my own closet turned out.

There's no risk in just finding out what could be done.

I couldn't even walk in my walk-in closet

When my Honey started thinking about buying closet parts at the do-it-yourself store I said one thing...Uh, THINK AGAIN.' After all, he's no carpenter & doing things right is important to me. I said 'someday we're going to sell this place and when we do we're going to want to show some real wow factor in the closets.' He couldn't argue with that - but he tried. At the time it was so bad that I couldn't even walk in my walk-in closet without tripping over things. I made up my mind and called your company to find out what a real closet designer would do in this situation. What I learned is ... we could neaten things up by using the wasted space, and make a place to put my shoes on shelves instead of the floor. Along with extra poles it was all looking potentially good ...even to Honey Bunny. So you know...we did it. We knew the cost was higher than 'do-it-yourself closets' but we figured that the increased re-sale value of our home was worth it. Now that it's done I can say for sure we made the right decision - a remarkable transformation, we could never have done it this well.' I'm happy.
